It is a stool with only one leg so they have to "balance" thus giving their brain one more thing to do as they listen.
I also have a "floor teeter totter". _____
U
It kinda looks like this.
A board with a half of a round cylinder block under it. They stand and balance on it (in the back of the group).Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15131870912360642051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1481091672668175705.post-57427094131186770422010-01-20T20:19:50.961-08:002010-01-20T20:19:50.961-08:00Dear School Days,
My name is Jill Randolph and I...Dear School Days,

My name is Jill Randolph and I work with CityTownInfo.com, a website providing over 50,000 reference pages of real-world information on careers, communities, and colleges to our 10 million annual visitors.

I was reading your blog and wanted to let you know that we have just released a free 64-page e-book we think you and your visitors may find insightful and interesting. Our e-book provides a candid, real-world perspective on the elementary teaching profession via interviews with 25 teachers from grades 1 through 5, across a variety of disciplines including reading specialists, PE, and music teachers, to name a few. The book offers advice, tips, best and worst parts of the job, as well as words of wisdom, inspiration and caution from working teachers. One quote from the book:

"Many people think that because the school day ends at 3 PM teachers just leave, but, the truth is, we stay late and often put in more than an eight-hour day. Almost always we take work home with us. Yes, we do have summers off, but we are constantly thinking about the school year to come and working on our skills."

Yours is one of the very first blogs we are reaching out to, so that you may share this relevant information with your visitors. We hope you’ll take a bit of time to review the book – it’s a fairly quick read – and then consider passing along your thoughts to your readers. We can provide you with cover art images in various sizes if you would like and we recommend linking to the page containing the eBook (http://www.citytowninfo.com/employment/elementary-school-teachers).

Thank you for your time and consideration. If I can answer any questions you may have, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Jill Randolph

jrandolph@citytowninfo.com
www.citytowninfo.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1481091672668175705.post-24044022594273440662009-12-15T18:02:32.112-08:002009-12-15T18:02:32.112-08:00Wow, I have never seen anything like that before. ...Wow, I have never seen anything like that before. I used to give one of my students some wiki sticks to play with, but I worry that your little guy might eat them. The chew toy sounds like a good idea. Sounds like he needs more than just one rug spot. That might help. Maybe try having him sit on a chair. I have a big comfy chair in my room with arms and I let kids sit in it when they are too wiggly, don't feel well, or feel sad. It seems to calm them a little. Good luck!Ms. Peacehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08589221180179106346noreply@blogger.com
